FOB & CIF terms, lead times, ports, and export documentation

1. Overview

Indo Global Pulse exports premium quality Tur Dal, Chana, and Moong Dal to international buyers worldwide. We offer flexible shipping terms to accommodate buyers of all sizes — from small importers to large-scale distributors.

This Shipping Policy outlines our standard procedures, timelines, and responsibilities for all export shipments.

2. Shipping Terms Available

⚓ FOB — Free on Board

Under FOB terms, Indo Global Pulse is responsible for all costs and risks until the goods are loaded on board the vessel at the Indian port of shipment.

Seller's Responsibility: Export packing, inland transport to port, export customs clearance, loading on vessel, export documentation.

Buyer's Responsibility: Ocean freight, marine insurance, import customs clearance, destination port charges, inland delivery.

Best for: Buyers with established freight forwarding relationships who prefer to control shipping costs.

🚢 CIF — Cost, Insurance & Freight

Under CIF terms, Indo Global Pulse covers the cost of goods, marine insurance, and freight charges to the destination port.

Seller's Responsibility: All FOB responsibilities + ocean freight to destination port + marine insurance coverage.

Buyer's Responsibility: Import customs clearance, destination port handling charges, inland delivery at destination.

Best for: Buyers who prefer a hassle-free import process with predictable landed costs.

3. Ports of Export

We ship from the following major Indian ports based on availability and buyer preference:

  • JNPT — Nhava Sheva, Mumbai, Maharashtra (Primary port — closest to Nashik, ~200 km)
  • Mundra Port, Gujarat
  • Chennai Port, Tamil Nadu
  • Vizag Port, Andhra Pradesh

Port selection is confirmed in the Proforma Invoice based on vessel availability and freight rates.

4. Lead Time & Processing

  • Standard Lead Time: 15–21 business days from receipt of advance payment or LC
  • Processing Time: 5–7 days (cleaning, grading, packing, quality inspection)
  • Port Clearance: 3–5 days (customs, fumigation, loading)
  • Transit Time: Varies by destination (see below)

Transit times are estimates and may vary due to vessel schedules and port conditions.

5. Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)

  • Standard MOQ: 1 x 20ft FCL (Full Container Load) ≈ 20–22 MT
  • Sample Orders: 50–100 kg samples available for new buyers (courier shipment)
  • LCL (Less than Container Load): Available for orders below FCL — additional handling charges apply

6. Packaging for Export

  • 25 kg PP Bags — Standard polypropylene woven bags with moisture-proof inner lining
  • 50 kg Jute Bags — Eco-friendly, preferred in South Asia and Africa markets
  • 1 MT Jumbo Bags (FIBC) — For bulk/industrial buyers, reduces handling costs
  • Custom Packaging — Private label, custom sizes, buyer-specified materials available

All packaging meets international export standards and is suitable for sea freight.

7. Export Documentation

The following documents are provided with every shipment:

  • ✓ Commercial Invoice
  • ✓ Packing List
  • ✓ Bill of Lading (BL) — Original + 3 copies
  • ✓ Certificate of Origin (COO)
  • ✓ Phytosanitary Certificate (issued by Plant Quarantine Authority)
  • ✓ Quality Certificate / Certificate of Analysis (COA)
  • ✓ APEDA Certificate
  • ✓ Fumigation Certificate
  • ✓ Weight & Measurement Certificate

Additional documents available on request (may incur extra charges):

  • Halal Certificate
  • Health Certificate
  • Radiation / Pesticide Residue Certificate
  • Non-GMO Certificate

8. Insurance

  • FOB: Buyer is responsible for marine insurance from the port of loading
  • CIF: Indo Global Pulse arranges marine insurance (minimum ICC-C coverage) to destination port
  • Additional insurance coverage (ICC-A, war risk, etc.) available on request at extra cost

9. Tracking & Updates

Once your shipment is loaded:

  • Bill of Lading copy sent within 24 hours of vessel departure
  • Vessel name, voyage number, and ETA provided
  • All original documents dispatched via courier within 3–5 days of BL date

10. Delays & Force Majeure

Shipment timelines may be affected by circumstances beyond our control including port congestion, vessel unavailability, weather conditions, government restrictions, or force majeure events. We will communicate any delays promptly and work to minimize impact on your business.
